After launch of Akash tablet PC in India and Airtel Maziq tablet PC now Wipro is now planning to launch cheap and best tablet PC in Indian market. As of now there has been no confirmation on launch date and price of Wipro tablet PC however it would be somewhere around 3000 rupees but let me tell you we are not sure about the price yet. Wipro CEO Azim Premji wants this tablet to have to have at least 1500 features in it and I believe that is just amazing as no other cheap tablet has come up with. Wipro is still deciding on the name of this tablet pc and all this is happening in their head quarter Bangalore in Electronics city which is their research center too. Here in this headquarter Wipro employees are working on the design, quality and features of product and this tablet pc by Wipro will be launched in next 1 year and I believe that is a long time to wait however our expert team they will come up with this bit earlier than this.
According to Anurag Srivastava who is the chief technology officer and senior vice-president for Wipro’s global IT business,
We’re looking at two-three proofs-of-concept in a year’s time. It’s not just a deployable consumer product, right? It’s about establishing that you can solve the process problem at ‘x’ dollars, as a total cost.

According to Anurag Srivastava of Wipro currently 25-30 people are working on this and around 100-120 more people will be involved in to this soon and everything will take place in Wipro head quarter Bangalore. There will be lot of things involved in the whole process so Wipro is not revealing any of the features or specification now. Do you guys think Wipro will be able to launch this tablet pc in low cost loaded with 1500 features, well we think they might be able to do that as there are many Chinese vendors who are ready to do this for Wipro and we are sure about this tablet pc to be the best and cheapest tablet in India by Wipro.
