Google added some more features to its Google Calendar Tool. This has been done in order to let people customize their Google Calendar and events. There is a Google Labs section in the settings, where users can make the changes and enable or disable the feature or once you land on Google calendar page you will be asked to choose among these features.
Automatically Declining Events
This feature helps you in blocking invitations that are sent during a specific event period. If you click on the Busy (decline invitations) icon, this feature will automatically decline invitations for events that occur during this time. So now no need to manually edit this feature every time.
Event Flair
This feature lets you enable icons for specific events. Once you add an event you can place these icons alongside the event, like, bicycle for a ride, or a heart for your loved ones or special events. These icons can be used in more than one ways. People who are invited to the event can also view these icons. This makes it more attractive then earlier one.
Gentle Reminders
Now reminders will be no more disturbing for you in Google calendar. This feature is very good for people who have multiple screens opened in front of them and are working on some important thing. So whenever a reminder for an event or invite comes to your account, the pop-up window instead of interrupting whatever you are doing, gently opens up in the window of the Google Calendar and the colour of the bar starts blinking. So that you can check it whenever you are free.

I am going to have to check the new features out I only started using GC when I picked up my Android phone. I haven’t used it much since than.

I recently started using Google calender for my company along with activ collab. I never realize earlier why Google calender get so much hype but after using it, I can say its great..and must have for every blogger and company.
This time Google has lot of features to it so it will definately help you.
Never I have made a good use of Google calendar except for 1 or 2 times in my life. Let me see if I can use it effectively..
