HOW TO: Ignore Applications Invites From Specific Friends on Facebook

At times it happens that you get to see too many application invites from your friends in Facebook as they might have got prompted to choose few friends before or after using the application. I personally find it very annoying.

So here you can actually block your friends from sending you application invites on Facebook and for this, you need to click on application icon, which is at the left sidebar of your home page and then see all your applications and here at bottom of this page you will find “To control how your friends see your activity”. Just click on this and then click on ignore applications invite and just key in your friends name and hit enter. Now your friend is blocked and you will not be getting any application invites from your friend. We have put step by step screenshot of the same.

MySpace Comes Out With a New Feature: Stream

MySpace has come up with a new feature “Stream or Activity”, in an attempt to differ from Facebook. This is called the Activity Stream or just the Stream. The Stream keeps you updated with your friends activity on MySpace and keeps you connected to them.

Now when you enter MySpace, you will be able to see what your friends are doing like, new music albums, new movies, friends they meet. And this will be based on what most of the users like.

Lets see if MySpace can differentiate itself from Facebook and get the users hooked on for more, or just catch up with what Facebook is doing.

Chat and Build Community on Twitter With Hashtags

Most of us have been using Twitter as a tool of Social Networking, by posting our content as tweets. But does that really have an impact on people who are following you? Or does the content just flows by them and they don’t even pay attention? If you have been wondering as to whether your content gets noticed or not, you don’t need to worry about this anymore because of Hashtags being used for chatting on twitter.

 What is a Hashtag

A Hashtag is an inline to your post, starting with the symbol hash #. Once you add hash to your post it will re-direct you to the community where people are discussing things of similar interest. Like, if you are one of those interested in social media, then all you have to do is, type, #social media, and this will redirect you to communities where you find like-minded people. Check more in below video.

The major plus point of using Hashtags is that you get to filter out unnecessary information and connect to people who might be actually interested in your content.
