Now once you have downloaded all the files you need to unzip the root file and please remember that you should not extract the file and just unzip it.

Now open Odin and switch off your phone and get in to download mode by pressing volume down button, power button and home button.

Once you are in to download mode you need to connect your phone to your PC via USB and then Odin will turn yellow at the left top hand side and that means you have connected the device.

Now on Odin you need to click on PDA and select CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXX_LP6-v5.2-CWM5.tar then click the start button and once it is done you will get to see a green color with PASS message.

You have now successfully rooted your device and after reboot you may see super user app in your Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100

Just in case Odin gets stuck in between then you need to take out the battery, restart your phone and then again in to download mode and start Odin again and it should work fine.
