How to Install APK Files on Android Phones and Devices

Sometimes back, in fact 5 minutes back I wrote an article on How to change default email address in Android and now I am back with another article on how to install APK files on Android phones. Now when we talk about .PAK files, it is same as .exe files in our computer which executes a program in the computer while installing any application or software. Likewise even on Android you have .APK files to execute apps and program in to it. For installing you will have to have a good file manager apps in your Android  device and then only you can get into the APK files else you will have a tough time in installing .APK files. Also if you ask me it is also possible to get into .APK files without app file manager. Now when we talk about installing .APK files on your Android then you need to follow few steps and this is mentioned below. Before that let us have a look at what wikipedia says about .PAK files,

“An .apk file extension denotes an Android Package (APK) file. This file format, a variant of the JAR format, is used for distributing and installing bundled components onto the Android operating system.”

First of all download a file manager and you may download Astro which is an amaing file manager, I have tried this file manager and this is really amazing and I am sure you will like it for sure. Now you need to follow below steps by which you can downloads and install .APK files on your Android.

Now you need to get .APK files on your Android device and it can be done by getting this from your device browser and then you need to download the .APK files or else you can just copy the .APK files to your Android device. Now launch the Astro app and go to the file manager and the search for .APK files and after getting it tap on it to locate on your Android device.

Now once you tap on the files, it will pop up two options and they will be open app browser and open app manager and you need to select app manager in order to install the the file and this is it, you have installed the .APK file in your Android device successfully.

There is another way to install . PAK files and that is simple too, for this you need to copy .APK files to your memory card and now insert the memory card in the device and now insert the memory card into yoru Android device and thyen install this through any installer available in the Android market and now after installation it will show up APK files on the memory card and you can now install APK files easily.

Change Default Email Address in Android

As you all know I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy after switching over to iPhone 4 and trust me I am liking this beast as this is just too good and its performance is just too good and if you ask me I will give Android 10 out of 10 as it is just too good to use and giving me optimum performance. I got the idea of buying Android from my friend who has the same phone as mine and one fine day I got my hands on his phone. He asked me this question as how to change the default email address in Android phone which is already rooted then I was silent as I had no idea about this. Default email address in Android is your email address which you need to key in when you need to activate your Android phone for the first time and many times users face this problem. If your phone is non rooted then you can just reset factory settings and you are done and now you have changed your default email address in Android and you need not do anything else to change your default address.

Now when we talk about root users then it can be done by the help of an app which is not free and you will have to pay for it. This app is called root explorer and this will let you change your default email address in Android phone and devices and for this you need to follow below steps.

  1. For this first of all you need to download this app and install on your device. Download this app from HERE
  2. Now from the menu command you need to get into root explorer and once you are in to it. You need to data/system and then accounts.db.
  3. Now you need to delete the accounts.db file and restart your Android device and you are done. You are a rockstar who has done it yourself and now you need to enter your new email address and password as your old email address and password will be deleted.
