But I have discovered a new add-on for firefox which shows my Adsense earning in my Mozilla browser status bar. Now I need not log in to my account and check my Adsense earning. Where Do I put Adsense on My blog, Best Places to Have Adsense on Blog or Website

Position of Adsense is the most important part of any blog and putting it at the right place is very important to brand your blog. You must have noticed that blogs filled with too many advertisements push you to go away from it. It also helps you to reduce the bounce rate of your blog as viewers will love to be active on it. First of all you need to have an insight of which are the positions where you can place your Adsense advertisement.

Always remember,

Its advertisements which is going to get money to your blog and you should never let it ruin your blog branding.

adsense4 thumb Where Do I put Adsense on My blog, Best Places to Have Adsense on Blog or Website

adsense5 thumb Where Do I put Adsense on My blog, Best Places to Have Adsense on Blog or Website

We may see where all I can insert Adsense in my blog and make it a complete disaster. Nobody would like to see these many advertisements while going through your blog or website,as it makes it look cluttered and does not give user friendly experience. If you make blog like this then these are the disadvantages which your blog is going to face :

1. Branding of your blog will go for a toss and efforts put towards it will go in waste in just a flash.

2. Your blog may loose a major chunk of visitors as they would hate to land on your site.

3. It will hit you majorly in all fields such as Alexa rank, page rank and many more.

4. Your blog will become history as above mentioned things may happen to it.

So the major question is which are the main positions where you can put your Adsense advertisements for best results and the answer is simple. Keep it smart and simple by putting ads where visitors will get maximum exposure and minimum disturbance by it. Well when it comes to putting advertisements, you need to make sure that you get maximum clicks and maximum exposure. So we will start right from the home page then move to reading page and search page. Lets start with the home page and here it is:

On Home Page

On home page you need to make sure that they do not get any advertisements in between posts as it breaks the continuity of reading. So have minimum advertisements on your home page. First of all put a banner of not more than 468*60 as this helps you to keep your logo proportionate to your banner.

Now when we move to the other spaces where you can put ads on home page, always prefer to have ads in side bar as it barely makes your viewers feel stuck on home page and I would never advice you to have advertisements just below navigation bar as it is hardly going to get any click over it but good for CPM. For home page you may see the best example of Techcrunch where they have ads on top side bar and it really looks amazing.

Now when we talk about placing ads on sidebar always place it above and below your Facebook fan box(If you have any). You may see how Mashable has placed their ads on sidebar, though they have put a sky scarper at sidebar which does not look good . You may also look at Problogger where they have placed their ads on sidebar and it does not create much of a disturbance to viewers.

On Reading Page

Now when we look at reading page, it is advisable to have ads just above and below your heading and it could be 468*15 with 4 or 5 links on it and then place an image ad of small square (200*200) just where your post is starting and try to have your text starting with this advertisement and not below it. It is advisable to have image ads here as it will look great for your visitors.

Now once you are done with it, move below and have a 468*60 banner just below your post, just like we have done on our reading page.

Around Comment box

Now if you want to have ads near comment box then you may put it just below and above comment box and it should be only 468*15 with 4 or 5 links.

On footer

You may also place a leader board (728*90) at footer but once again it is not advisable to have ads here as it may make your viewers disappointed after seeing your blog filled with ads.

On Search Page

On search page it is advisable to have adsense advertisements just above search result and a skyscarper (120*600) right to search result and make it a test one to have maximum links on it.

Well these are few places where you may position your ads and we feel it will help you to have maximum optimization of your ads in your blog.

What is Pay Per Click and Best Alternatives of Google Ad Sense

For ages people have considered Google Ad Sense as one of the best sources of earning money through advertising on their websites and blogs. But apart from Ad Sense there are a lot of other Pay Per Click programmes that could fetch you good revenue through advertising on your blog.

For those who don’t know about CPC (cost per click) programmes, these are also called as Pay Per Click. All you need to do is get yourself registered to any of the Service Providers. They will provide advertisements for your blog or website. Everytime someone visits your blog and clicks on these ads, will be counted as one click. Every click is equivalent to certain amount of money. The more the number of clicks, the more amount you will get.

Wikipedia has defined, Pay Per Click as:-

“Pay Per Click (PPC) is an internet advertising model used on websites, in which advertisers pay their host only when their ad is clicked. With search engines, advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. Content sites commonly charge a fixed price per click rather than use a bidding system. Cost per click (CPC) is the amount of money an advertiser pays search engines and other internet publishers for a single click on its advertisement that brings one visitor to its website.”
