Common Admission Test (CAT) Examination Date 2011

Common admission test (CAT) examination, 2011 dates have been announced and it is going to be held between October 22 and November 18 in India and unlike last year this year CAR 2011 will have two sections instead of three sections like last year. In these two sections, first set will consist data interpretation and quantitative ability and second set will have logical reasoning and verbal ability in it. The total duration of the examination will be 140 minutes and in both sections have been allotted 70 minutes each. In the first 70 minutes, first section will have 30 questions to solve and it will have a countdown timer for first section.

Once first section gets over, candidate would not be redirected to the second section and he would not be able to go back to the first section. I feel by having two sections in common admission test, IIM has taken a wise decision as candidates now need to concentrate only on two sections and should not be concerned about the third one. For any further clarifications, candidates can log on to http://www.catiim.in and they would be able to see all the details from 8th August, 2011.
